52011 ZX-10R exhaust decisions?
By readybeartoe
I was torn between the M4(cheaper) and Graves exhaust(sounds good but too expensive) but This Yoshimura R-77D Carbon Fiber 3/4 Exhaust is NICE! I was skeptical about the design of the mid pipe at first but after starting it up...???
I Odered it here on Amazon from LeatherUp(best price on the net) and it came to my door within just a few days! I wasn't expecting it for another week but very happy with not only the packaging & shipping but the exhaust as well! Yoshimura always makes a good pipe and this was no exception. Fit and finish was "Yoshimura" tight as to be expected.
Using the instructions I installed the exhaust within minutes. The hardest part was unhooking the servo cables and fishing them down through the frame and removing stock exhaust but even that was a breeze with the proper tools and a little pacients. No need for a servo buddy since I left the servo in the bike(for now). I did have to start the bike and shut it off a couple times and tap th e servo to get it to work (properly turning to reset) so that the FI(fuel injection code) light to "go off" on the instrument gauge (No big deal) but after that...BOOYAH! IT SOUNDS GOOD!!! LOOKS GREAT!!! AND plus I feel a little gain in throttle responce, lol!
